Show it off!

I realized that the trend online is to show off something good (or maybe bad--I am not sure if this is something you want to show off) that you have. I think rule of thumb in a social networking site is, so long as it is something people would drool over or just simply entertain them as they read or look around it, why not show it off! I for one am guilty of that, I like to show my friends (or friends of friends--that's the extent of my privacy) what a part of my life is about, where I hang out, places I've been, people I have fun with, family and my passion for cooking. So far, that's what I like sharing. There isn't much to hide except some of the pics that are still pending approval because of legal matters! What that is, I am not in the liberty to discuss--- This is just this one thing that I do not disclose to the cyber world. Everything else is pretty much shareable. :)

I do respect however how some people totally not share anything with others on social networking sites. What is the point of joining if you don't even have anything to put on the table for people to comment on, drool about or talk about. I mean, no offense, but networking is something that you use as an outlet to feel good about life and other people's life in general. Sharing what is good about you and your life uplifts you and the people around you. I commend some of my friends that even a death of a loved one or other mishaps are posted asking for support and love from friends which I believe helps them get by during bad times. Concealment of your life from the cyber world is a choice, but Internet is about sharing, if not all about you, at least some part of you that of course has truth in it that you would like share not because you are bragging or boasting over something, but because you want other people to feel good and that by sharing it, you are taking these memories to share with them, so it is as if they shared it with you. Don't you love it when you have tons of comments on a picture, I actually love it coz I felt I connected with them, shared my moments with them even if its just over the internet. :)
