Beauty Queen Complex (BQC)

Who am I to even argue about the true essence of a woman, or tell my major major mistake I did in my life on a question and answer portion when I never and have no plans of joining any beauty pageant even if I am a 36-24-36 figure. Being a cousin of a Bb. Pilipinas Maja International  1st runner-up in 1995, I take pride in what my cousin had accomplished but I never saw any beauty-queen complex in her. Sure, I'd take beauty advice from her, learn how to put on simple make-up that doesn't make one look like a clown but I was just never used to her telling the whole world "Look at me, look at me!" She had flawless skin, mestiza looks, 5'8 in height, a model-type built. She modeled professionally but it didn't stop her being "jologs" with us riding at that small tiny van at night to buy a double cheese burger at Minute burger in the middle of the night, or get tapsilog in Mandaluyong and by-stand outside our house by the street to smoke some Marlboro reds!

I just don't understand why some ex-beauty queens (e.g. Miss XXX Province) who didn't even get to the main Bb. Pilipinas pageant felt like they have won the Miss Universe crown and too confident to tell the whole world to "Look at me." (I am a desperate ex-beauty queen who didn't win the crown and I want people to know I have the confidence to project despite my one flaw----I am a selfless bitch who is self-centered and doesn't care a bit about anyone unless I get something out of them!--Bones dry!) Makes me sick to my stomach....I mean it is not really a problem, sure flaunt your hearts out, but I just hope you come to your senses that the world doesn't revolve around you, it will continue to move on with or without your 1980's hair and outfits.

As some people put it, flaunting is a way of masquerading oneself to cover up something dark, hidden and even bizarre. You want to pose yourself as someone very desirable and flawless to seek people's praise and devotion. The spotlight that is so intense that it blinds people of your flaws gives you the power to continuously walk the runway showing off everyone that you are ever so beautiful and that the lights will never dim for you. The question is, are you really deserving of the crown? Or you are just one of those that have the BQC---Beauty queen complex?
